We had two visitors in our kitchen, joined as one. They flew about at a fierce pace – the ultimate in speed dating. They lit on a hanging pan just long enough for me to snap a photo.

I tried to capture them on video as they flew around the kitchen together, literally “hooking up”. My camera was on macro so it was impossible to track them in motion.

At one point one was outside hitting against the window and the other was inside doing the same at exactly the same place.

Through the camera it was difficult to find them. Once I saw the photo, I understood why. They are transparent and metallic on a metal backdrop. Are these natural or some robotics experiment gone wild?

Click on these photos for a close up. It is pretty amazing.
