I have a professional blog at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.agilecoachjournal.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.agilecoachjournal.com <\/a>and a professional website at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/moonriseconsulting.com\">www.moonriseConsulting.com<\/a>. But sometimes I want to share thoughts outside of my work life. So here we are.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>I brainstormed for years to find a clever name for this blog. I had lots of fun ideas but all of the domain names were already taken. Then one day I shared some ideas with my wife. I mentioned my fascination with fractals and recursion and things that repeat, how I always wondered about these questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What do you see if you put two mirrors together facing each other, scratch a small hole in one and peek through?<\/li>\n<li>What color is a chameleon on a mirror?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are examples of &#8220;infinite regress&#8221;, defined in that modern source of all wisdom, Wikipedia, as follows\u00a0&#8220;an attempt to solve a problem which re-introduced the same problem in the proposed solution. If one continues along the same lines, the initial problem will recur infinitely and will never be solved.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And it was my wife who put 2 and 2 together to give me a name for my scattered ramblings:\u00a0<strong>infinite digres<\/strong><strong>s<\/strong>. I then stalled a long time to create the site just out of stubborness because the name was not my own idea.
